take reservations up to six months in advance. Reservations
are guaranteed by credit card. In case of a cancelled room-night
less than 1 week prior to the scheduled stay, the credit
card will be charged for the value of that night's stay
(Extended notice may be required for special events).
There is no cancellation fee when the required notice is
given. For extended stays and multiple rooms, we may require a 50% deposit, which is refundable when required notice is given, minus a $5 per room-night processing fee.
Check-
in time is 4:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. Our doors open at 4:00.
Please ask for late arrival instructions if you will be
arriving after 7:00.
Check-out
time is 11:00 a.m.
Children six and older are welcome at the Artful Lodger.
We
regret that we cannot accommodate pets, in consideration
of other guests. Please contact the innkeepers for pet lodging
recommendations.
Group
bookings - Although we cannot "block out" rooms
for your special event due to our limited number of rooms,
we will temporarily hold rooms, so that individual guests
may make travel arrangements and finalize their reservations.

Hamilton College and Colgate University Graduation and Family Weekend – In an effort to handle reservation requests fairly, we use a lottery system. For each night spent at the Artful Lodger, our guests receive a ballot, on which they request rooms for a special event. Names are drawn six months prior to Family Weekend, and one year prior to Graduation
